WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO HELP NEVADA WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
In the last few years, the Nevada Legislature has implemented policies that have helped our state recover from the recent recession that was so devastating to our economy. We are proud of those accomplishments. We recognize, however, that too many hard working men and women are still struggling, and there is much more we need to do.
Assembly Democrats are committed to continuing our work to solve these problems, to reward hard work with fair wages so workers can support their families and we can keep talented Nevadans here at home.
Our priorities for an improved economy for all Nevadans—
- Raise the minimum wage in Nevada.
- Require that women earn equal pay for doing the same work as men.
- Make child care more affordable, and support an earned sick leave program to provide workers time off when they or a close family member gets sick.
