Democrats passed game-changing legislation that prohibits landlords from charging fees to make repairs that keep a rental home habitable, provided an appropriation for rental assistance to protect tenants from eviction, allowed the Housing Division to allocate funds for housing for women veterans, and created the Nevada Supportive Housing Development Fund to allow for the construction of affordable housing.

During the 2023 legislative session, Democrats took action to pass legislation to protect Nevada’s most vulnerable populations including senior citizens who are often left defenseless against deceptive trade practices and fraud.
