Assembly Democrats on Interim Finance Committee Again Deliver for
Small Businesses
Las Vegas, NV – Legislative Democrats on the Nevada Legislature’s Interim Finance Committee approved $35 million to support small businesses and entrepreneurs in Nevada. The Interim Finance Committee approved the first round of funding, with more money expected as the U.S. Treasury processes Nevada’s application. These funds will come from the State Small Business Credit Initiative over the next 3 years.
“I’m proud of the action taken by IFC to support Nevada’s small businesses,” said Speaker Pro Tem Steve Yeager. “Small businesses are the heart of our economy, and legislative Democrats are proud to support small businesses and entrepreneurs across our great state. Nevada Democrats are working hard to ensure that the legislature is rolling out the red carpet for startups while also helping to grow existing small businesses. I want to thank the Governor’s office and GOED for their work with the U.S. Treasury to get money in the hands of small businesses across Nevada.”
